Rasberrypi and minim server

Hi,
I just received my RasberryPi, which I would like to use as my media server. I installed java version "1.8.0-ea"
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0-ea-b36e)
Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 25.0-b04, mixed mode).

Then I installed minim server, using the installation guide for linux. Minimserver displays the following error after start:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/pi/minimserver-0.63/lib/libohNet.so: /home/pi/minimserver-0.63/lib/libohNet.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

This the minimserver-063/lib directory list:

So the libohNet.so actually resides in the directory.
Starting minim server with sudo did not help. Any ideas to help a novice?

MinimServer needs the softfloat version of Debian "wheezy" to be installed on the Raspberry Pi. After doing that, I'd recommend installing the ARM softfloat version of Java 6 or Java 7 (not Java 1.8.0-ea), and then installing the Linux ARM version of MinimServer.

Thanks, got it working. I have now only 3 files in the library, just to test. I add a 2 TB usb drive as soon as the music is copied. Thanks for the help. 176 kHz 24 bits working.

2000 files in the library, still copying files, 16 bits 44.1 kHz files are no problem, 96 kHz 24 bits files and higher resolution are not streaming well at the moment, since I am still filling the hard disk

Hi,

Installed the Soft-float Debian “wheezy”, jdk-7u10-linux-arm-sfp.tar.gz, and MinimServer-0.63-linux-arm.tar.gz.
Since my linux skills are rusty to say the least, I decided to put all in the /home/pi folder.
Unzip the java distro there, unzip minim server, created a music folder to mount the usb hd. Then I created a script to start the server. I haven't figured out why my startup on boot doesn't work, but that is less important. I got it stable with 1100 albums or so, but then could not stop tinkering...
Now the logs fill up the startup volume, so I need tio tweak a little more. I might just start over. Which will save me time i think.

I'd be really interested to know how you did/do it as my linux is limited, but this looks like a perfect solution for someone travelling regularly. Just bought a Hitachi Touro 2Tb external drive that would be connected to the Raspberry PI. I assume the processor/memory combination wouldn't allow for the transcoding of FLAC to 24WAV (I have an early RP PI).

I think you'd be OK for FLAC->WAV24 at CD quality, and probably also up to 24/96. I'm not sure about 24/192.
