Upstream Artwork
Greetings all.
Does Minim support Upstream artwork?

if i browse by folder and enter folder B (under folder B i got all artist that starts with the letter B)
Bruce Springsteen
Bob Marley
Bob Dylan and so on.
then i want there to be a random picked Picture in stead of a empty box.

i Think Asset UpNP server does support this feature.
But Minim is the best AND fastest.

RE: Upstream Artwork
MinimServer does not support random pictures. It would be possible to add this but it would slow down the display of the Artist index because MinimServer would need to select a random picture for each artist from all the albums (or non-album items) in the current selection and send these pictures to the control point.

If such a function would be implemented, please give the user the opportunity to have a choice, e.g. by settings in MinimWatch!

RE: Upstream Artwork
Yes i see your Point Simon. and totally agree.
im using the minim on a Collection of 120.000+ songs and its superfast :-)

it might be a solution to test how much slower it will be or for people who doesent got that big Collection.

Can we give it a try as Peter mentioned :-) ?

RE: Upstream Artwork
I will add this to the (long) list of requested features for a future version of MinimServer.

It is not and I don't intend to make it so. This would result in debates about whether feature X should be higher or lower in the list than feature Y and I don't wish to engage in this kind of discussion.
