USB streaming app

[Melco Man]

I have a Melco NAS. I use a Moon 380D as my DAC. The Moon app works well to stream files via ethernet but it does not support streaming via USB. Other apps do this, I know, but I cannot find a stable app yet! The problem is that I want to use the Melco function of streaming DSD as PCM but this is not supported via ethernet, only via USB. Can anyone recommend a work round or a really good app for ipad that will help. I have ried 8Player which works really well but does not support gapless playback which I need for fave albums such as DSOTM and Abbey Road side 2! Lumin won't work, SongBook HD won't work, Kinsky won't work!!!! Bubbleupnp won't skip tracks accurately (so I ended up giving my wife my android device!)... Please help!

Really surprised to hear that BubbleUPnP does not skip tracks accurately! I used it for years to stream gaplessly to Moon renderers. Could you give examples I could try ?

None of my albums skip tracks properly when using Bubbleupnp. They skip but not at the same speed as the display so by the time the display reads say track 5 the audio has decided to play say track 3!

Have you contacted bubbleguuum (the author of BubbleUPnP) about this?

Weird. I previously owned a 380D (now replaced by a 780D) and never experienced this problem. Have you tried to reboot the 380D when this happens ? Maybe a wrong setting in the BubbleUPnP app. For ex., what is the value of the polling interval in the UPnP tweaks tab ?

So I recommend to try with MinimServer and MinimStreamer (for dsd ->pcm) on Melco.
