Playlists blank
I have exported my playlists from iTunes in M3U format, example here:
#EXTM3U #EXTINF:228,The Cure And The Cause (Ambient Mix) - Fish Go Deep Feat. Tracey K. M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-01 The Cure And The Cause (Ambient.m4a #EXTINF:276,One Love - Sara Tavares M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-02 One Love.m4a #EXTINF:281,Down But Up - Ganga M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-03 Down But Up.m4a #EXTINF:284,Northwest - Aim M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-04 Northwest.m4a #EXTINF:389,Intoxicated - Groovecatcher M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-05 Intoxicated.m4a #EXTINF:394,Still Here - Aural Float M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-06 Still Here.m4a #EXTINF:291,Give Me Lovin' (Mantra Mix) - Goloka M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-07 Give Me Lovin' (Mantra Mix).m4a #EXTINF:287,Rain Down Love - Freemasons Feat. Siedah Garrett M:\Music\Compilations\Hed Kandi_ Serve Chilled 2007\1-08 Rain Down Love.m4a In MinimServer they appear blank which accessing from my Oppo 103 player and Oppo MediaControl iso app. I am running MinimServer on Synology Diskstation DS213j. They work perfectly when imported into Sonos, the same files in the same location on server. Any idea on ow to fix this please? |

RE: Playlists blank
Because you are running MinimServer on a Linux machine (the DS213j), you need to change the Windows-style paths to Linux-style paths (forward slashes and no drive letter).
The simplest way to do this is to use the Windows program oddgravity Playlist Creator. Make sure the settings for saving playlist entries are relative with forward slashes, then open the playlist and save it in the new format. You should try a test first to make sure this format also works with Sonos. |

Simon
Searching around, I notice that you regularly recommend the use of the oddgravity playlist creator. I am on windows 10 but their homepage and release document only references windows 7. Would this still work on windows 10 do you think? |

RE: Playlists blank
Just to let everyone know that has a similar requirement - it seems to be working for me also on Windows 10 and has not required a rebuild of the PC
. I have only created one playlist so far but that was reassuringly straightforward and I am now listening to it which is encouraging As an aside, I had only realised yesterday that I didn't have the Compilation album called 'Love Songs' that we regularly used to play (but we had it on vinyl). It's just a really nice set of tracks. We have every Beatle track in 24 bit already (bought the apple USB thingy years back) and so I just wanted to replicate the album and have been struggling. This nailed it in a few minutes and so I can understand why it has been recommended. No fuss, well thought out and does the job, bang! Will make a few more playlists and then sort out the donation. Only fair. Thanks Simon and Peter. |
