Here it is.

Thanks very much!

I'm putting together another test build with additional diagnostic tracing. I'll send you a PM when this is ready.

Many thanks for all your help with testing and debugging this!

RE: MinimServer on Synology DS213+
It seems to work now with the latest update. However, although I can see it from DLNA control points, there is nothing inside besides an empty [folder-view] icon. On the MinimWatch on iMac, I can see click into the control options but the icon itself is grey.

The music directory is correctly set and the user "minimserver" has the read-only right for the directory.

Can you please help ?

This is excellent progress! Smile

Can you select Properties and Show Log from the icon?

Is the icon grey or transparent? On the Mac, these look quite similar. If you can select Properties and Show Log, it should be transparent.

Are there any messages in either of the log files?

/homes/minimserver/appData/minimserver.log
/homes/minimserver/appData/minimserver-out.log

If Show Log is working, set the logging level to Debug and then select Restart. This should produce additional log output.

Yes, I can select Properties and Show Log in MinimWatch. I guess it's transparent then.
I am attaching the Debug log files here for your reference. Thanks !

I see the following in the log:

Scanning directory music
Scanning directory @eaDir
Scanning directory 01 國語流行
Scanning directory 02 Jazz
Scanning directory 03 英語流行
Scanning directory 04 Classical
Scanning directory 05 日文
Scanning directory 06 原聲帶
Scanning directory 07 相聲

These Chinese characters would cause problems if they are not encoded using UTF-8. The MinimServer installation package automatically selects UTF-8 as the encoding for filenames and directory names. What encoding are you using for filenames and directory names on the Synology?

I believe the default encoding system in Synology DSM is Unicode (UTF-8). I haven't altered anything on this.

Please can you try a further test. In the log window, set the logging level to Trace, then do another Restart. Save the log file, zip it, and attach it here. Many thanks!

Thanks very much! Here's the relevant section from minimserver.log:

MinimServer has found no audio files in any of the above directories. Is this correct, or should there be some audio files there?
