Linguistic sorting
Simon, we had a brief email exchange about sorting.
I am running MinimServer on Synology DS414. While my language setting is US English, some of my music files have Chinese and Japanese track names and artists. As you might already know, there are multiple ways Chinese characters are sorted, such as by stroke order, by radical, and by pronunciation. It seems to me the default is to sort by unicode character value, which you confirmed. And unicode is ordered by radical. I’d love to have a choice to sort by stroke order instead. Thanks for considering. |

RE: Linguistic sorting
Can you give a specific example of some Chinese Unicode characters that would sort differently using the radical and stroke order methods for sorting?
