MinimWatch launch problem

MinimWatch launch problem
I need some help resolving the following issue. On my new clean installation of Windows 10 (x64) and with both 32 & 64 bit Java 8 update 101, when launching Minimwatch it opens a browser window with a dialog asking what I want to do with mwatch.jar(open, save or save as) When I click to open the file it saves an HTML document in the downloads folder. I have had Minimwatch working on my previous windows 10 setup, so I don't understand why this is not working. Thanks in advance.
