How to rescan from iTunes
With help from the Forum, I have got my iTunes music library, indexed by Composer, from my PC onto a Zen server with MinimServer as the UPnP software. It is now easy to find everything and the music plays perfectly on my Naim Uniti via the Naim control point on an iPad.

That tempts me to put lots more music into the system. I added a few more CDs to iTunes and asked MinimServer to rescan a couple of times. The log (verbose) shows what looks like a complete rescan of the original library. I can't see any of the new music though.

The "Reading Audio Files" section in the Minim user guide refers to the contentDir property, which is now /storage/music/flac, and the mergeFolderAlbums property, which is set to true. Those seem to be the defaults to enable rescans of changes to the music library.

My PC says that the location of Music is C:\Users\Owner\Music
and the location of my iTunes music is \\USER-PC\Users\Owner\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music.

I tried putting those locations in the contentDir but got a red message saying "not an absolute path".

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

RE: How to rescan from iTunes
Are you copying the new albums to the Zen when you add them to iTunes, or are they on your Windows PC? If they are on your Windows PC, you need to copy them to the Zen so that MinimServer can see them.

RE: How to rescan from iTunes
I think they are on the Zen. I cut & pasted them from iTunes to Zen this morning. ThisPC-ZEN shows a Zen subfile of iTunes music with 146GB and 10,828 files created on 24 May 2016 at 11:48, which is when the pasting finished. There is also a Zen subfile called simply Music with 146 GB and 11,284 files, but with an earlier date--that might include some unwanted demo items that came with my PC. I can find all the new music when I open the ZEN iTunes music subfile. I did a rescan (true) but none of the new items show up when I open the Naim control app. I have just done a fresh rescan (false) to see whether that worked, but there is no difference. The log (verbose) shows a lot of scanning but as far as I can see only of the earlier files.

Is the /storage/music/flac property correct, or should I try to aim the scan at the more specific iTunes Music subfile, and if so how?

RE: How to rescan from iTunes
If the Zen folder "iTunes music" is a subfolder of /storage/music/flac, a MinimServer rescan of /storage/music/flac would find any new files in "iTunes music".

As this isn't happening, I presume the Zen folder "iTunes music" is not a subfolder of /storage/music/flac. In this case, you would need to find the correct absolute path for "iTunes music" and use MinimWatch to add this path as an additional content directory. You should be able get the correct absolute path for "iTunes music" by contacting Zen support.
