ffmpeg.exe for Linux?

Hi guys, I am trying out Linux (Lubuntu) and have successfully installed Minimserver. I've been using Minimserver on Windows machines for a while now with ffmpeg and the following settings in stream.options property:

convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28

I downloaded the 32bit version of ffmpeg from this site:
http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/

I placed the file ffmpeg into the folder minimserver/opt/bin

The full path is
/home/tboooe/Documents/Minimserver/minimserver/opt/bin/ffmpeg

However, in the properties screen I get the error "Converter not installed"

Any ideas?

Are you running MinimStreamer 0.5.24?

If you remove the stream.options setting and restart MinimServer, what do you see in the stream.converter field?

Yes, I am running Minimstreamer 0.5.24

When I leave stream.options blank, restart Minimserver, the streamer.converter field is also blank.

This means that MinimStreamer has not found a valid ffmpeg executable. Does your ffmpeg file have execute permission set?
