Synology DS215+ with DSM 6.0

Hi

I want to install the minimserver on DS215+ with DSM 6.0 (ARM 7 Processor)

Question regarding java version:

After installing the Java 8 Package, I press the update.

On the oracle website I have two versions for java SE Development kit:

dk-8u77-linux-arm64-vfp-hflt.tar.gz

and
jdk-8u77-linux-arm32-vfp-hflt.tar.gz

Which one should I install?

Normally, with ARMV7, you should no longer use the Oracle web site. Java8 is part of the stadard package

The new Java7 and Java8 packages in DSM 6.0 install OpenJDK by default. This is OK for an Intel-based NAS but it causes a severe performance problem on an ARM-based NAS because OpenJDK runs about 5 times slower than Oracle Java on ARM processors. Because of this performance issue, the next MinimServer update will check for Oracle Java when running on an ARM processor and won't run unless Oracle Java is installed.

Thanks for confirming.. I was just wondering as there is an arm64 version as the DSM 6.0 is 64bit.

It is 64-bit for some Intel models. I din't think there are any 64-bit Synology ARM models yet.
