Hi

I have a Problem with the tagging from DSF Files. I generate an additional Genre Type (DSD) but I can’t see the Genre Type. So I tried today first on a Flag Album to put multiple Genre Type DSD on the Files. This working fine. Then I put on a DSF Album multiple DSD Genre Type like (DSD1\\DSD2\\DSD3\) and now I can see only the first Genre Type. The other Genre Types will not be displayed. I am using for the tagging Mp3tag.
I don’t now where is the failure. On the Minimserver or on the Mptag Editor.

Welcome to the MinimServer forum!

When you say you can see only the first Genre type, where are you looking to see this? If you can attach a screenshot, this would be helpful.

Hi Somon

No Problem.
First you see, I make a Flac File with 3 Custom Genre Type with the Name GFlag1-3.

Then I make a DSF File with 3 Custom Genre Type with the Name GDsf1-3

I open the Foobar UPNP Browser and you see only 3 Flag Genre and the GDsf1 Genre.

Then I change the Genre on the DSF File vom GDsf3-1.

And now you can see the UPNP Browser show me only the GDsf3 Genre Type.

Of corse I refresh every Time the Minim Service for the new Picture on the Foobar

I tried this with a DSF file and it is working for me.

After you change the tags, you need to do two things:

1) Do a Rescan (not Restart) in MinimServer

2) Close and restart foobar2000

Thanks for your assistance. Nothing help. I uninstall the hole Minimserver with all Settings. But on the DSF Files i see only the first Genre Type. For the Flac Files everything works fine. Do you have some spezial Settings?
I am locking in to the Logfile. All DSF File have this Error:

Mercy.dsf
Warning: truncating incorrect value for DATE tag 2003-13-08 in file Trout Walter/Relentless/12

Maby is that the Problem.

This date is incorrect. The date format is yyyy-mm-dd and there is no month 13. This isn't related to the DSF problem.

I think the problem with multiple Genre tags is caused by writing the DSF tag in ID3v2.3 format. In Mp3tag, select Tools > Options, then navigate to Tags > Mpeg. If the Write option is set to ID3v2.3, change it to ID3v2.4 and then rewrite the tags for your test DSF file. After doing this, do a MinimServer rescan and restart foobar2000.

About the Date I have no Idea. Normaly I have only the Year. No Month no Day but you have right. Now it works fine.

Thank you so mutch. Now I can see all the Genre Type.
