Problem: Seperating Multi Disc Albums with the Tag DISCSUBTITLE

Hello

I have found this guide to seperate Multi Disk Albums in different sections. (I use the Tag DISCSUBTITLE)

This guide works. MinimServer divides Multi Disc Albums into separate CDs.

>> Disc 1
01 track
02 track

>> Disc 2
01 track
02 track
......

My problem: If I want to play >> Disc 1 in Bubble UPNP the following error message appears:

No item was found in the direct sub-folders of the selected folder(s).

What does it mean? What can I do to solve the problem?

My Setup:
I tag on a Windows Computer with Musicbee
I copy the tagged files on the server (disc station)
I control the music on the server with the app Bubble UPNP.

You can't play '>> Disc n' directly. Instead, you need to open '>> Disc n' and play the second item (after '>> Hide Contents').

The reason for this extra step is explained in this section.

now it no longer works. Both folders are empty now. (See screenshots.)
On my DS216play is running the latest version of minim server 0.8.4
Can you help me?

Minim Server runs on Synology DiskStation 2016 play. I handle it with the app BubbleUPNP.

The order of the entries in the second screenshot is incorrect. The >> Hide Contents entry should appear first. It looks like you have enabled some option in BubbleUPnP that is changing the order of list entries sent by MinimServer to BubbleUPnP.

Hi!

I'm new here, have just started testing minimserver. It seems to be an amazing piece of software, though I had some difficulties finding my way through the configuration options.

Now I have a similar problem which I think may be related, though the order of the subfolders is correct.

I use bubbleUpnp as well, but I tried rhythmbox as well just to make sure it isn't the clients fault.

This is the situation:
Multi-disc-albums containing tracks with both group and composition tags (identical in this case).

Adding the complete album from the album list works (screenshot 1).
However, when I only want to play the first disc of the album, it does not work as expected: selecting the album gives the list in screenshot 2. There I can add the individual works. I know that adding disc1 directly from here is not supposed to work. However, both subfolders in disc1 (see screenshot 3) are empty. I would have expected to find the tracks or compositions or groups inside the second folder.

Stenax, have you found a solution to your problem?

Did you open the first folder (Hide Contents) or select the complete album for playing before you opened the second folder? If so, this will cause the contents of the second folder to be empty (hidden). You need to select the second folder for playing without previously opening the Hide Contents folder or selecting the complete album for playing.
