Reducing network traffic
I've been following the Melco nas thread and it appears that the Melco may clean up the electrical connection (I haven't seen any evidence to support this) whilst also removing any unnecessary network traffic. It possibly does other things I'm not aware off too.
I know people have tried all sorts of network isolators, but none of them have received universal acclaim, unlike the Melco. This makes me wonder if reducing the amount of traffic on a network is essential for true audiophile digital reproduction. Are there any other ways of reducing network traffic? Eg a software solution, static IP addresses, unplugging unused network components or software which is constantly scanning the network etc? |

RE: Reducing network traffic
I've found spouse and child disconnection significantly reduces network traffic and improves sound quality.
