RE: Feature request- rescan individual libraries?
Simon, if I don't specify a ; after flac:wav24 what algorithm does Minimserver use to transcode?

Ok, I may be I am nuts but when I use the ; after flac:wav24; it seems to bring the warmth and weight to music using Minimserver on the NAS. I use the ffmpeg binary that is already loaded onto the Qnap in the stream.converter property. |

I am surprised by this as the transcoding output should be the identical (if you don't have anything specified for convOut). I have just compared the bit streams from transcoding a test file with and without the semicolon and confirmed that they are identical. I would be interested to know what happens if you do an offline conversion from FLAC to WAV24 using dBpoweramp and stream the WAV file from the NAS using MinimServer. |
