Question Disable Logging on QNAP Install
Hi there,

MS logging is preventing my HDD from sleeping - how can I disable it on my QNAP HS-251?

I installed MS using the QNAP app.

Can I ssh in and change a load file somewhere?

EDIT: QNAP firmware 4.2.0 was the issue. Downgraded to 4.1.7 and all is well.

MinimServer logging is set to Info by default on installation. This setting shouldn't prevent the QNAP from sleeping. To check or change your current setting, you need to install MinimWatch on another computer (PC or Mac) on your local network.

Thanks. How do I disable the log file to test it?

Set .logFile to '-'?

Yes, that is what it says on this page.

Thanks.

It appears MS wasn't the issue - it was the QNAP 4.2.0 firmware.

HDDs are sleeping with 4.1.7.

Great software buddy!
