Beginner question: How to get "Folder"-Orden in my music collection
Hello
Thanks for the Forum and MinimServer! I'm a beginner. So far I have not really figured out the logic of MinimServer. So far I've used the music server from Synology. The music I have sort as follows. Can you please tell me how I do this sorting in the MinimServer: I need a sort in "Folders" (1) name of the collation/folder-sorting: "Composers" Genre/composer/album (2) name of the collation: "Performers" Genre/album artist (3) name of the collation: "Albums" Genre/album (1) do I need for albums with classical music with only one composer. For these albums I have defined a genre "classical composers". (2) I need for albums with classical music with more than one composer and only one "main"-artist. For these albums I have defined a genre "classical artist". Also, I need this sort of music of other musical genres. Thank you! Stephan |

RE: Beginner question: How to get "Folder"-Orden in my music collection
I think you are trying to create hierarchical browsing trees that force a series of predefined steps in a specific order. MinimServer doesn't provide this capability. Instead it enables you to browse by any tags in any order and it customizes the available choices for each browsing step based on the results from the previous browsing selection. To make the best use of this capability, you would need to browse using tags and not by [folder view].
If I have misunderstood your question, please provide more details of one specific browsing scenario that you want to enable. |
