Restart or Rescan
Hi,
When I add new material, I realize I need to rescan to get the new material to show. If I right click and then rescan, the Minim icon goes from green to yellow and says "Minim is restarting" rather than just rescanning. This can take up to 45 minutes on my system and is annoying.
Is there some way to just rescan and therefore add the new stuff ( and take off anything I've deleted) or must I put up with it?

Many thanks

Reg

At present, it isn't possible to add or delete music without reading the whole library and doing a restart. This might change in the future.

If the rescan+restart is taking this long, you probably have your music library on a network share (or shares). This setup isn't recommended. You will get much better performance if you run MinimServer on a NAS with your library on locally attached disk storage.
