Autoscan
Is there any progress on implementing the autoscan functionality to MinimServer?
I regularly forget that I've to initiate a rescan whenever I add music to my library. So an autoscan would be highly appreciated. Cheers, Michael |

RE: Autoscan
Simon, would it be possible as an interim to offer a scheduled scan - say every 60 minutes (or a user defined period)? Not sure if that would be easy to implement or not.

Not sure if that would be easy to implement or not. The main technical issue is enabling MinimServer to add new files without a restart. A restart is somewhat disruptive and making the rescan a manual operation ensures that it won't occur at an unexpected and difficult time for the user. |

RE: Autoscan
You could create a schedule to do a re-scan at say 3am every morning. On Linux, Simon posted this recently:
For any Linux platform, if you have installed MinimServer in the directory {installdir}, you can do: echo "rescan" > {installdir}/minimserver/data/minimserver.pipe SoundAdikt. |
