all the Def leppard albums is now placed under various artists but the A-ha is all correct under a-ha

Michael

This is probably caused by a difference in how the AlbumArtist is tagged.

How do you have AlbumArtist and Artist tagged in the files of one of the albums that shows up under Various Artists?

What settings do you have in the tagCustom property?

i am a bit afraid of that many of my cds are tagget incorrectly but i will try copy 1 by one and see which ones are wrongly tagged.

do you know a program that can re tag all my albums ? i use a mac computer

What settings do you have in the tagCustom property? = AlbumArtist.displayRole={artist}

Metadatics is a very good tagging program for the Mac. This will show you what tags you have and enable you to fix any problems. It's best to start with one or two albums and make sure your changes are producing the results you want.

If an album has a mixture of different Artist tags, you should set the same AlbumArtist tag on all tracks of the album. This isn't needed if all the Artist tags are the same.

RE: Synology DS215J and beosound/beomaster5
been testing the last few days.

first i i did a complete reset of the beomaster 5 and tried adding a few albums everything work fine
but when i try to add like 10 albums the covers are not there.

the thing is on my TV all the covers are there so i think there is somewhere where the minim server and beomaster dont play well together
do you think it is possible to fix it ?

or should i just go buy a qnap that b&o say works

I haven't seen a problem like this where covers that were displaying previously are now not displaying. I don't have any suggestions for how to fix it. Perhaps you could contact B&O to ask their advice.

RE: Synology DS215J and beosound/beomaster5
ok i tried to delete the covers in directories that was not shown on beomaster and downloaded them again typical from amazon and that have helped so far
i am not sure if maybe some of the covers are too large or have a corrupt file

but i keep on testing will report back during the weekend

RE: Synology DS215J and beosound/beomaster5
Hi Simon,

i went out and bought a Qnap Ts-251 as B&O says that one work and i should use twonky.
well it did not change anything around 17000 songs files no more covers

so i will try the minimserver now is there an option where i can set all albums covers to be 600X600 it seems like at least twonky dont like covers that are larger than 1000X1000
and i know i have some pretty large covers like 1500X1500 some covers are around 30 mb so i need them to be resized
the problem is the beomaster 5 dont have the power to handle all these files (they forgot to tell me that when i bought it)

it seems like the the one on Qnap only shows 1 album like the one that came with synology
