Track sort issue
Hi All

I am using MinimServer with Bubble UPNP as a CP. I am having an issue with tract sorting within albums,

The tracts are being sorted alphabetically and not as per track number. Selecting an album to play also results in songs being played in alphabetical order rather than by track number. This make it very hard to listen to albums like Pink Floyd's DSTM and also electronic music albums.

I have not been able to fix this issue.

My Sttings are as follows:

index Tag: Artist, Genre, All Artists, Composer, Conductor, Orchestra

Item Tag: Blank

tagOptions: Album.sortTags={Album, Artist}

tag custom: AlbumArtist.displayRole={artist}, Composer.displayRole={artist}

tagFormat: Artist.displayFormat={$artist$orchestra$conductor}

Please help to view tracks within album folders as per tract numbers and not alphabetically.

regards

The tracks should be sorted by track number if your files contain valid TRACKNUMBER tags. Have you checked the MinimServer log for error messages and have you checked the tags using a tag editor program?

RE: Track sort issue
Also, check the Library settings in Bubble. To verify that there are track numbers check the option to show them. Also, make sure the option to override the default sort is off.

Hi

I have confirmed the above settings. I also use Linn Kazoo as a CP from my Ipad and there also the see the tracks listed alphabetically so it not a Bubble settings issue.

Hi Simon

My music folder is on my NAS and I also use JRiver to connect to this library.
When I access the library using Jriver (directly and not via MinimServer), I see tracknumber against the tracks and sort order is as per track number.

I just cannot see tracknumbers using Minimserver irrespective of the CP software.

Interestingly I am sure the tracks did sort as per tracknumbers when I first installed Minimserver but somehow this changed to alphabetically and I have no idea why this changed.

There are a number of entries in the Log but nothing I can see relating to the tracknumber tag.

And example of the Verbose log is as follows:

Hi Simon

I downloaded MP3tag and checked the files.
Under the column heading Track, there are track numbers linked with each file.
In fact even the filenames start with the track number so
a typical filename is '01. The System.flac'

How can I get this across to minimserver. And is there anyway I could have resorted the order as I am almost sure the sort used to be by track number once inside the album folders but suddenly changed one day.

What do you see in the "n albums" list? Are the tracks within each album sorted by track number or alphabetically?

Tracks are listed alphabetically even when i browse using album's, genre's or folders.

This means that MinimServer is not seeing the track numbers. Do you have anything set in the aliasTags property?
