That would make it really easy to spot. For people with large libraries going through verbose log is less immediate. Just a tought. As I said in my previous post, you would get the same error messages without Verbose enabled. The only difference with Verbose is that you get a list of all the folders that are being scanned. |

I beats me why a simple conversion seems to eliminate the errors detected, but not going to waste time trying to figure it out. The conversion works because, if the conversion program does its job properly, it writes the whole of the data to the new file, in the correct format this time. When MinimServer sees the new file, it is happy with it (because it is correct), the file is duly indexed and there is no error message. That would make it really easy to spot. For people with large libraries going through verbose log is less immediate. Just a thought A lot of errors = a lot of error messages. What you know is that if the error messages are all saying the same thing, the fix is likely to be the same for all. When that fix can, as in this case, be fixed by a single batch conversion, you can have the satisfaction of seeing all the errors disappear in one hit. David P.S. MinimServer is not customarily abbreviated 'MS'; that's the software giant we all love to hate. I normally write out the name in full, but I have seen the abbreviation 'Minim' used without Simon objecting. |

There are other software companies and products with the name Minim, and David has correctly described the reason why the abbreviation MS should not be used. |

MinimServer is too good not to give it its proper name . David |
