Hi there!

Sorry to disturb you with a trivial question, but I would like to known if you have any plans to release MinimWatch as an iOS and/or Android app.

Minimwatch, like MinimServer, is written in Java, which is not natively available or supported on either iOs or Android. While programming 'bridges' allowing the use of Java on these platforms are available, I guess that Simon would not wish to support anything that is not available from the respective app stores.

The advantage of using Java from the user perspective is that it it is supported on a whole host of other platforms, including, crucially, a number of NAS models.

It's a very good question. MinimWatch can't run on iOS becasue there is no fully functional Java implementation for iOS. It is possible to run a Java program on Android but I would need to completely rewrite the graphical interface portion of MinimWatch to make this work.

I think the best way to provide this capability for both iOS and Android would be to make MinimWatch run within a web browser. This might or might not happen and I can't predict any timescale.
