Sonos Multiple Streams
Hi,

Brilliant work on MinimStreamer - I have it running on a Raspberry PI 2, providing BBC radio to a multi room SONOS setup. Since the latest update, it has not dropped a beat. :-)

I note the only shortfall with this solution is that I cannot play different radio streams simultaneously (i.e. Radio 1 in kids bedroom, Radio 2 in the kitchen) - If I have one station playing on one sonos, when selecting a different station in another room it simply plays what ever stream was running first.

Is this a limitation of MinimStreamer, or do I have it setup incorrectly? If so, would this be possible to enable multiple streams in a future update?

Fantastic work, thank you once again.

This shouldn't be happening. I have only one Sonos unit, so I can't check this exact scenario. However, I have tried something very similar by playing Radio 3 to a Naim streamer using the URL

http://192.168.0.10:9790//minimstreamer/*/R3

and playing Radio 4 at the same time to my Sonos PLAY:1 using the URL

http://192.168.0.10:9790/minimstreamer/*/R4

These streams are both being served by the same instance of MinimServer+MinimStreamer and everything is working as expected.

Hi Simon,

I have solved the mystery - I had setup the SONOS streams to pass the whole radio URL to Minimserver, as opposed to using a playlist file. Have now setup using a playlist in BBC Music directory per your instructions and it now operates as you outline above.

Thank you for taking the time to try this scenario, much appreciated.
