WAV and PCM formats
I have MinimServer and MinimStreamer running on a Synology NAS. I'm streaming the music to an older Samsung TV and using Bubble to control it. The tv only accepts mp3 and wav/pcm. The transcoding is working, but none of the different flavours of PCM and wav are being accepted by the tv.
The Synology's built it transcoding is working, it outputs 2 streams, wav and PCM, and the PCM one is being used. I've also got JRiver on a laptop, and that's also successfully sending PCM when used as a library server. Are there any subtle options with PCM/wav that could be altered? The setting in JRiver says "PCM L16 no header". Their option of "PCM 16 bit" didn't work. Thanks |

Have you tried transcoding to L16 using MinimStreamer? |

I was looking at Bubble's metadata info. It was receiving 2 streams from the Synology. One was wav and one was LPCM. The info on the track as it was playing said LPCM, so I guess Bubble or the tv was choosing which stream to play. |

This stream has an error in the resource information. I suspect this error is deliberate to match a corresponding error in the TV firmware. The protocolInfo setting is: protocolInfo="http-get:*:audio/L16:DLNA.ORG_PN=LPCM;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01700000000000000000000000000000" MinimServer is sending the correct information: protocolInfo="http-get:*:audio/L16;rate=44100;channels=2:DLNA.ORG_PN=LPCM;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01700000000000000000000000000000" |

RE: WAV and PCM formats
Have you got strict MIME type checking enabled in BubbleUPnP? If so, try disabling this and using L16 transcoding in MinimServer.

I've tried it with the MIME checking on and off using L16. It's the tv that's rejecting the stream, Bubble is okay sending L16 with MIME checking on. As check, when playing a flac file, the metadata has /$!transcode.L16 on the end |

The MIME type is this information from protocolInfo: audio/L16;rate=44100;channels=2 I suspect the TV can't handle this (correct) MIME type. |
