Syno DSM 5.1 wron FFmpeg

Hi Simon,

after upgrading to Synology DSM 5.1 on a DS1511+ I get the message
"incorrect FFmpeg version" shown in Minimwatch.

I'm running the latest versions (according to Minimwatch there are no updates available) of server and minim streamer.

Any clue how to fix this?

I am not sure which versions you are running. You should be running the following:

MinimServer 0.8.3 update 57
MinimStreamer 0.5.1

Have you installed FFmpeg using Optware ipkg? The Optware version of FFmpeg is very old and would cause the error you are seeing. The standard FFmpeg that is bundled with DSM 5.1 should be fine.

To check this, try setting the stream.converter property to:

/usr/syno/bin/ffmpeg

This ensures that the DSM 5.1 bundled version of FFmpeg is being used.

I'm running these versions.
After restarting Minimserver the error disappeared and also minim streamer is working as expected.
