Album Inventory?
Is there any way to incorporate an album inventory function into Minimserver? It would be great if there was an option to be able to scan and print to PDF to save the inventory.

I'm sure it's a long shot but thought I'd ask.

This question has come up previously. I think the best technical approach is for someone to develop a third-party tool that uses UPnP Search to query the contents of the MinimServer library and prints the desired information.

I'm sorry if it was from me but didn't think so.

I don't think it was from you.

I'm hoping there might be a developer reading this thread who would be interested in creating this utility. Last time, I didn't get any takers. Sad

Gotcha. Maybe you can do it and charge for it as an add on?

I don't have the time to do it myself.

I recommend Mp3tag (http://mp3tag.de/en/). Works with many tag formats and can create formatted HTML, text, and other reports based on tags, filenames, paths, sizes, etc. Some nice samples are included and there is a complete scripting language for control and formatting.

Other options:
Music Collector (collectorz.com) which can ad albums based on your audio files, but can also be used to add vinyl and cds for a full inventory.
MediaMonkey can create exports and reports.
