Artist > Album display option query

I have a query regarding the way Kinsky is displaying Artist > Album information.

How do I set Minimserver so that it stops displaying the album titles alphabetically by folder when I've accessed the Artist folder?

For example, If I open The Beatles folder I then see folders listed alphabetically for the album titles. I'd much rather it simply displayed all albums by that artist rather than breaking them down by name and putting them into seperate folders.

I know this can be done by disabling the alphabetical display option but that also seems to disable the alphabetical display option for Artists & I want to keep that.

Basically I want to be able to search artists alphabetically and then when I've selected an artist I want to see the albums by that artist rather than another level of folders for the album titles.

You can enable alphabetical grouping for specific tags. See this section. To group your artists and nothing else, set the alphaGroup property to Artist.

Thanks Simon. I'd read that section prior to enabling alphabetical tagging for Artists and Albums. However, whilst swithing off alphabetical sorting for Albums solves the problem it creates another one. If I go back and do a search by Album rather than by Artist all of the albums are now listed in a long stream rather than alphabetically.

Basically I want artists to display alphbetically and then when I select an artist all albums by that artist are displayed.
If searching by album title I want them to display alphabetically, but not when searching by artist first.

You can set a numeric threshold for using alphabetical grouping. This is described in the same section. For example, it you want to see a list of 50 albums or more grouped alphabetically, you can set the alphaGroup property to Albums=50.
