OSX Yosemite and dark menu bar = problem with MinimWatch
Hello,
In the new OS X there is a nice option to make the menu bar dark. However, the MinimWatch icon is almost invisible and hard to locate. Please modify the icon slightly and add some white elements. Regards, Adam |

I presume you would like the icon foreground to automatically change from back to white when the menu bar background is dark. Is this what the other menu bar icons do? |

Yes, that's it. Here's an example: http://cdn1.appleinsider.com/gallery/994...mode-l.png

I've spent some time looking into this and it seems Apple has provided new APIs in Yosemite to handle this situation but these APIs aren't available from Java. I have sent a question about this to the Mac Java developer mailing list and I'll let you know if I get a response. |

I didn't get a response and from looking at the code it doesn't seem possible to access the new API capabilities from Java. As a temporary workaround, I have made a change that gives the "running" icon a white background when viewed in Dark Mode. This change will be available in the next release. |
