Port Minimserver sinology
Hi
I cannot install minim server due to an port issue. It say that the 9790 is open and it's not possible to install minim server. So how could I close the port and install minim server Thanks JPP |

RE: Port Minimserver sinology
Hi Simon.
Sorry to be dumb. I got the same error when I updated minim server to 0.82 from 0.81. I updated Java as suggested and now have the port error. I am strictly a newbie when it comes to fiddling with my Synology NAS. I know this isn't a unix help desk but... I don't know how to use SSH so I have tried to download and install Putty but don't know what to do once I have the tar.gz file on my NAS in the public directory. I think I am right in thinking the package centre only works with spk packages? Can you point me in the right direction? thanks |

RE: Port Minimserver sinology
Hi Simon.
Stand down. It only took me a few hours to realise that I could use terminal on my mac to carry out the instructions needed to get rid of my old install of minim server as per your linked instructions. Once I did that I could reinstall the software and am up and running again. Cheers! J |
