I'm bouncing between Asset and Minim and I really don't want to re-tag 100's of albums.

I know it's a minor thing, but there are times when I only want to hear the 2nd or 3rd disc of a set - and yes I could just use Asset since it's already set up.

I have to say, MinimServer is a great piece of software. Thanks!

If you want the discs separated, you can either

1) add [Disc n] or (Disc n) to the ALBUM tag or

2) add DISCSUBTITLE tags

I use YATE for tagging files but I can’t find DISCSUBTITLE there. I thought GROUPING would do the trick, but MinimServer does not respond to that.

You can use the aliasTags property to rename tags for processing by MinimServer. If you set aliasTags to 'Grouping:DiscSubtitle', your GROUPING tags will be processed as if they were DISCSUBTITLE tags.

Thanks, I did this but with different DISCNUMBER and your Grouping:DiscSubtitle no Subtitles showing. I came from Audirvana where the grouping was used (independent from discnumber) to show subtitles even on 1 disc. I don’t know how I can establish this.

Did you restart MinimServer after adding Grouping:DiscSubtitle?

Are you sure your files contain GROUPING tags? What format are the files (e.g., FLAC, MP3, ALAC)? Have you used a tag editor to check that the files contain GROUPING tags?

Yes, restarted and rescanned. I checked the GROUPING tags in Yate and MuzikBrainz and both confirmed the tags. The files are FLAC. But no subtitle showing in Lightning DS but…..I see the subtitle in Kinsky, so it is something concerning Lightning DS.
Do have several warnings for files with grouping filled and DISCNUMBER=1; better copy that information to the TITLE field.
