Unfortunately, neither of these thread dumps matches the debug log that you sent earlier showing a Browse request failing to complete.

Please can you restart MinimServer completely from the QNAP App Center and also restart Kazoo. After doing this, repeat the original debug log instructions and use the log window to verify that it is hanging in a Browse request, then take a thread dump that matches the Browse request hang. Many thanks!

Yep, will do.

OK, 1291 was new PS. Enclosed log (Kazoo had definitely hung whilst scrolling All Artists at this point)

I am very puzzled by this. This thread dump doesn't show a Browse request that hasn't completed. Would you mind doing this one more time and sending both the log window contents and the matching thread dump? Please save the log window contents after the thread dump has completed, not before. Thanks very much!

Can you describe how to reproduce this problem? I've being trying to do some "stressful" scrolling but I haven't seen a Browse hang. I am currently using Kazoo 4.1.504 on Windows.

Yes, no probs (trying to create logs but just not happening!)

1) Using 4.1.530 of Kazoo (latest download)
2) Select Minim 0.8.2 (from QNAP TS-879)
3) I go to Music
4) It shows 6573 Items (all tracks basically)
5) It displays a window full - then scroll down with mouse
6) It keeps up but, eventually, there is a gap (of about 8 icons)
7) Keep scrolling down, it catches up
8) Scroll up - eventually loses track of where it should be
9) Move up (<--) container and then I just get a spinning wheel and everything goes awry. I can move around Kazoo but nothing works from there on in.

Regards, Mike

Thanks! I've been trying this but so far I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Are you using tiled view or list view?

Using Tiled view - enclosed are the best logs I can do - I frequently find that minimWatch won't show logs at all (clicking it doesn't show anything, the log window doesn't appear).

If it is timing-dependent, it might be better to close the MinimServer log window while doing rapid scrolling (but leave logging set to Debug). When you get the problem, you can open the log window and confirm whether it is the Browse hang.

yes, I tried that - but then the log window wouldn't appear !
If you like - you can see a video here:
