Playlist Manager
Hi Simon.

I always wondered what the shared playlists was for inside Kinsky. So after I googled it, I found out Linn actually has implemented shared playlists that are stored on the upnp server and can be accessed from all independent control points that support this feature. So I guess they were pretty forward thinking when they designed the upnp extensions, but the only server that supports this feature is Songbox. Now if you implemented this feature (together with some simple ui inside minimwatch to export/import/save playlists) I bet Bubble and Lumin app would surely support this right away and the world will surely be a better place...

Linn's PlaylistManager extension to the UPnP open standards hasn't been adopted by any non-Linn servers or control points. Also, it's not clear whether Linn will continue support for the PlaylistManager UPnP service in Kazoo. Given the lack of industry adoption and the uncertainty over future support, I don't think it would make sense for MinimServer to implement this.
