Yes. I will need to add special treatment for 1-bit files to make sure this happens.

Another vote for setting all 24Bit files as HD.
In my opinion only 3 categories are needed. HD for 24Bit. CD for 16Bit, and LC for MP3 and everything below CD quality.

Some 16-bit files are greater than CD resolution. It you don't have any of these files, you won't see the CD+ category in your library.
