problem adding to queue
Hello Simon,
Since using Minimserver 0.81 on my NAS, I have problems with adding more than one track to Queue. Using 0.72 it was possible to add a complete album, genre or whatever to queue, now the app crashes immediately after trying to add more than one track. On my PC version 0.72 is installed. If using the PC as server this problem doesn't occur.
In 0.81 alphabetically search is implemented, very nice!
If I search for something, the first search is successful most of the time.
A second search never works (endless loading but no result).
Closing and reloading the app makes it possible to do the next search.
Is this a Minim problem or a problem with the StreamMagic app?

Peter.

I haven't had any other reports of problems like this. Do you get any messages in the MinimServer log when you try to add more than one track or when you do a second search? To see the MinimServer log from your NAS, you need to run MinimWatch on your PC.

RE: problem adding to queue
Hello Simon,

I have tried to add an album to the queue from the NAS(0.81). This did not work. The minimlog showed the following message:

I tried the same with the server on my PC (0.72) this showed nothing and worked perfectly.

Peter

The Stream Magic app has sent an incorrect UPnP Search query to MinimServer. The derivedFrom keyword is incorrect. According to the UPnP ContentDirectory:1 specification, the correct spelling for this keyword is derivedfrom.

MinimServer 0.72 doesn't implement UPnP Search. This is why you don't see the problem with this version.

Can you inform the Stream Magic developers that this app is sending incorrect search queries?

I have already informed the Cambridge Audio app developers.

Hello ,

CA latest Firmware update(V266-b-553) should solve the problem.
In my case it doesnt .
When I try to add one album to queue it adds all albums of the selected genre.
I use a Beta app 4.1.17(8207) it may respond diffrent than the "normal " app.

Peter.

RE: problem adding to queue
Hello Simon,

Cambridge Audio released new Firmware.
Adding more than one track is possible now, in fact it adds a complete genre to queue in stead of the selected album.

There is no relevant information in this log extract. Please do the following:

1) Restart MinimServer
2) Restart the Stream Magic and the Stream Magic app
3) Set the MinimServer logging level to Trace and leave the log window open
4) Attempt to play the album
5) As soon as the music starts playing, click 'Save as' to save the log
6) Zip the saved log file and attach it here

Thanks!

RE: problem adding to queue
Hello Simon,
I have done what you asked, but I have a feeling you misunderstood the problem. It seems that you think the problem is related to one specific album, but it refers to all albums.
I will specify the problem for you:
I select a map, f.i. genre, then I select one album from this map and add it to the queue. When I go to the queue all the tracks of all the albums from the selected map are put in the queue.

Regards,
Peter.
