Still unable to play the .pls file in the playlist...?? After changing this value, you need to refresh the containers in the control point. This requires restarting MinimServer and clearing the n-stream cache. When you have done this, you should no longer see the .pls file. Playing this stream through MinimStreamer will not work if the .pls file is showing. As a first step in getting something working, I suggest you try *:wav and *:L16 in stream.transcode (as alternatives, not both together). The next MinimStreamer update will provide another option that might help. |

RE: MinimStreamer Installation
I've tried this and it still does not work. I'll wait for the minimstreamer update. Thanks for trying!

RE: MinimStreamer Installation
No, still seeing the .pls file...even after deleting the cache. I'm now seeing this error message in the log..

(The \rtf1 is a clue.) Do you have an editor that can edit plain text files? If you have a Windows PC, Notepad would be suitable. On a Mac, you can use TextEdit. |

RE: MinimStreamer Installation
Yes, I changed the extension to .m3u from .rtf, which I thought was correct? I used TextEdit on the mac to create the file initially; if I leave it as an rtf file it does not show up in the playlist....?

I think you have done the first of these but not the second. When you launch TextEdit, the Format item in the menu bar has a pull-down selection named "Make Plain Text". if you select this, the file will be edited and saved as plain text. This is necessary to produce a valid .m3u file. |

RE: MinimStreamer Installation
Hi Simon. One more thing to add; I recreated the text file on my hard drive before uploading to the server. I no longer see a .pls file and can see two option for (wav) Linn Radio Classical and 'Linn Radio Classical' but cannot get the stream to play.... I get this error message in the log 'HTTPSource: stream response was HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found'. Thanks again for your patience...!
