Apparently MinimServer only updates itself once is restarted, correct?
If not then I am missing something...

What I would like to do is having MinimServer either looking periodically for new content, or be possible to schedule a "job" do discover now content every 15 mins (for example)...

In the current situation I only see new data, when I restart.

Also, another "nice to have" would be to have the MinimWatch functionality directly accessible from the NAS (as a webserver application)....

Yes - you need to restart MinimServer after you add new content. When restarting MinimServer will continue to play any current playlist so it does not interrupt the music.
Auto restart is planned - see http://forum1613.minimserver.com/showthr...p?tid=1157
Also there is a web page planned to restart MinimServer so you could do it from an ios or Android device through a browser. See - http://forum1613.minimserver.com/showthr...p?tid=1062

Please see http://forum1613.minimserver.com/showthread.php?tid=426 for full details of the Auto Restart package for Synology.

I am hoping to implement automatic rescanning in MinimServer without requiring a server restart. I understand the importance of providing this capability, and it is a high priority. There are a number of technical challenges with this, so I can't say when it will be available (or even promise definitely that it will happen).

The web browser status page in the next release isn't an alternative to MinimWatch. From this status page, you will be able to check whether MinimServer is running, set an initial content directory, and initiate a rescan/restart. Implementing a full web interface that is equivalent to MinimWatch would be a lot of work, and I don't expect this to happen in the near future.
