Folders/files not seen in Bubble

Hi

I am using minimserver with bubble as the control point. Got some music from a friend, and I notice even in folder view, the folders do not show up in bubble. On my windows pc they are shown as wav files. I thought maybe its a tagging issue, so tried to retag them in dbpoweramp batch converter, but the files are not shown there as well. The files are shown and play normally on my laptop. What could the reason for this be?

What platform are you using to run MinimServer?

You can use folder view to view and play untagged files, so the lack of tagging isn't the issue.

Are there any error messages about these folders or files in the MinimServer log?

What are the names of some of the missing folders and files? If your platform default charset is set incorrectly, MinimServer might not be able to see files or folders with non-English names.

Minimserver is running on windows 7.

There are no special characters in the file names, they are all English letters.

I will check in the evening if minimserver log is showing any error, as I'm at work. :-)

If the folders or files are marked as "hidden" on Windows, they won't be scanned by MinimServer.

Are you sure the folders containing the files are included in your contentDir settings? After changing contentDir settings, you need to do a Rescan from the minim icon.

You can set the log level to Verbose to see exactly which folders are being scanned.

If the folders or files are marked as "hidden" on Windows, they won't be scanned by MinimServer.

Are you sure the folders containing the files are included in your contentDir settings? After changing contentDir settings, you need to do a Rescan from the minim icon.

You can set the log level to Verbose to see exactly which folders are being scanned.

I dont think the folders are marked "hidden" as I can see them in windows explorer.

The folders are definitely included in the contentdir as i can view some folders in the same directory, but not others.

I checked the folder again and its not marked "hidden"

I have saved the log file. How do I send it to you? I did not find any errors with respect to the folders in question. The path of the folder in question is: G:\OTHERS\MBJ\Chris Rea

Now I rechecked the files, and they have the suffix wma. Maybe that is the reason the folder and files are not seen?

Yes, that is the reason. MinimServer doesn't support WMA files.
