Minim, iPad & Naim
I would like to use MinimServer/Streamer to stream to my Naim Uniti 2 and control it through an iPad. Minimserver refuses to download through Safari onto my iPad (no reason given). Can you let me know what I need to do to use Minimserver on an iPad? If it's in any way relevant I've also got a NAS drive on the home network. I want the streaming to be sourced and controlled from the iPad: an iMac sits elsewhere in the house but I want the streaming independent of it. Is MinimServer/Streamer the software I require for this? If so, what do I need to do to download it and set it up.

RE: Minim, iPad & Naim
MinimServer works on many server computer platforms, flavours of Linux, Mac OSX and Windows. It does not run on IOS devices, like iPad or iPhone. You say you have a NAS drive, that may be an option to run MinimServer. If you specify which NAS you have then people here can help you.
Here is the list of hardware types MinimServer runs on: MinimServer Hardware When you have a MinimServer environment, then you can use your iPad with a piece of controller software. I personally don't know what is best with Naim Uniti, but I am sure people here will give suggestions. Hope that partially helps Dave |
