The album artwork still isn't working, but I now don't believe that has anything to do with MinimServer, since I discovered it's not showing up even when the files are played from a hard drive directly connected to the Oppo via USB. No luck with that yet. They show up in the app, but nothing happens when you select them. From what I've read, it looks like that might be something Oppo would need to address. |

RE: DSD files and the Oppo
^I can confirm this Simon. Geez Simon..you are nearly there!!!! 18 was a big step..got rid of the APE files appearing.. now they look like DSF and DFF... updated to MinimStreamer and added the dsf:dopwav, dff:dopwav into stream.transcode.... just like that separated by a coma.. is that right?? anyway.. the files appear as wav, they "play" but no sound comes out!!!! bugger..
Hey why don't you just buy yourself a 103 and try it out/!!!! You are nearly there! .. big advances last month Wap

I don't think you should be transcoding these to DoP/WAV. Can you try using the remote on the OPPO to play them without transcoding? |

RE: DSD files and the Oppo
^ Simon..already tried that.. they don't play. I'm selecting tracks straight off the Oppo GUI.. not using plugplayer or anything..DFF and DSF both "skip thru" right down the list.. then you have to reboot the Oppo. How frustrating

They are playing for me. All I did was download MinimSever, start it, and tell it where my DSF files are, and they play using the Oppo remote. I don't use MinimStreamer. My Oppo did act like your description when I tried other servers like Twonky or if the files are encoded in away the Oppo apparently doesn't like. Do those same files work when they are directly connected to the Oppo via USB? |

RE: DSD files and the Oppo
The Oppo simply sucks for DSD uPnP streaming.. I should know. I've been trying to do this for over a year. Simon. Your changes to the APE files make them appear as DFF and DSF files, but they do not stream via uPnp. Well I can't get them to play anyway.. I'm a bit over trying to get this to work frankly.. currently playing around with an e28 DAC instead..

RE: DSD files and the Oppo
There is no issue to get the DSD files to play if you use the Oppo as Controller/Renderer (basically a player), but that means you have to keep a telly on to select the files to play.
