Question Bit detecting is wrong sometimes
Hi,

I'm using some high bit music which is 24bit with 192/176,4/96/88,2/48kHz.

Unfortunately the detecting of minim isn't quite accurate.

iTunes shows me the correct bits and kHz, Mediainfo on my system too. MP3tag and minim not.

Any ideas how to solve?

Kind regards

Please can you give some specific examples of the problem, with details of the correct value reported by iTunes and the incorrect value reported by MinimServer.

Sure,

attached some screeshots

First is itunes, second my client searching in minim (found song in 16bit instead of 24) and last one is mp3tag which says 44khz

Thanks for providing this information. Reading audio information from an ALAC file is quite tricky, as there are multiple places in the file with this information and they don't always agree.

To fix this, I'd need to see the file. Please upload it to my FTP server. I'll send you the server details by PM now.

ok, it's 63MB and my DSL is not a good one. Take some time.

Cyberduck says 7 hours :-( (3KB/sec)

I got it and tried it. MinimServer 0.8.1 is correctly identifying this file as 24/96000. Are you by any chance using an older version of MinimServer?

I'm using the actual one (0.8.1. Update 16)

Weird.

Look on Kinsky...same behaviour.

Did I made a fault on settings?

I'm using Mac Mini (10.9.2).
