upgrading to latest version on Qnap ts-409
After 12 months using version 0.72 of minimserver I tried to upgrade to 0.81. I made a mistake straight away by not stopping the old version on qnap.
Could not get new version to work so started from scratch by firstly removing Java and 0.72. Then reinstalled java and 0.81. Still no luck When I try to enable minimserver the messages I get on qnap log are 1.minimserve start error: /usr/local/jre/bin/java error when loading shared libraries share MD0.data.qpkg minimserver 2.minimserever has been enabled 3.minimserver status set to disabled If anyone can help me out here I would be grateful Stewie |

On QNAP, it isn't necessary to stop or uninstall MinimServer 0.72 before installing 0.8.1. From the messages you're getting, it sounds like you're using the wrong JRE version (ARM instead of Intel or vice versa). Which QNAP model do you have, and what is the exact name of the JRE .tar.gz file that you downloaded? |

I feel a bit stupid. Had x86 version of minimserver not arm even though I knew I had to use arm.
Sorry to waste your time. Stewie |
