Gapless Playback
I caanot seem to get gapless playback to play seemlessly. No matter what i do there is always a stutter between track changes. I listen to alot of dj mixes so this a real bug bear!
Im running the local files using minimserver. I have created an openhome renderer using bubbleupnp server, controlled using the bubbleupnp android app.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Gapless Playback
Gapless playback has to be supported by the control point and renderer.

Have you enabled Gapless Playback in BubbleUPnP Server?

If you play directly to the renderer from BubbleUPnP with Gapless control enabled, are the stutters still present?

What renderer are you using?

RE: Gapless Playback
Gapless playback is enabled in bubbleupnp server. Whilst it reduces the gap, there is still a blip between each track. It's not seamless.

I'm using a Yamaha wxc-50. I use the bubbleupnp app rather than the stock Yamaha one.

Do consecutive tracks have the same bit depth and sample rate?

If it's just a blip then gapless playback is likely working and it could be a limitation of the wxc-50. Have you ever had it working?

In BubbleUPnP click on the vertical ellipsis next to your Yamaha and select Info. What does it report for Gapless playback.

Thats It!!!

Im listening to mainly mp3 mixes which are not supported! The mixes i have in FLAC work perfectly!

If i convert the mp3 to FLAC or WAV they should work.

Once again...THANK YOU!

RE: Gapless Playback
Alternatively, you could use MinimStreamer to automatically transcode MP3 to WAV. This seems a better solution than converting all your MP3 files.

I have added mp3:wav to stream.transcode but there is no change. Is there anything else i need to do?
