Profile not found and unable to delete profile
I created a new profile on my server that is on my Synology NAS but I cannot select it or delete it.

When I select 'view profile' I get an error message 'server error 404'. I have stopped and restarted Minimserver on my NAS.

RE: Profile not found and unable to delete profile
A 404 error means that the page you are trying to view does not exist. In this case it might be caused by your NAS having changed its IP address on the network when the DHCP lease expired. To fix this, close the web page you are using to manage profiles and then reopen the MinimServer configuration home page from Synology Package Center.

Since posting I worked it out. I went to the appdata folder and deleted the rogue profile.

Thanks for the swift reply though.

What exactly was "rogue" about the profile? I would like to understand the cause of the error so that I can change the 404 message to something that is less confusing for other users (and me!)

I wanted to try a new UPNP app called JPLAY so I created a new profile in my minimserver and called it JPLAY. The default profile changes to JPLAY. After playing around I put my old profile back as the active one and went to delete the JPLAY one and notice there are two instances of it listed. I can delete one but the other one remains listed and is rogue because when I highlight and delete it says profile does not exist. The only way to delete it is from the app folder on my NAS.

I’m running the latest update of minimserver.

RE: Profile not found and unable to delete profile
Thanks for this description. I tried to replicate what you did but I didn't see the problem. Here is what I did:

1) Use the Create tab to create a new profile JPLAY
2) JPLAY is now the active profile
3) Make some changes to the active JPLAY profile
4) Use the Select tab to revert back to my previous profile
5) JPLAY still exists and is not the active profile
5) Use the Delete tab to delete the inactive JPLAY profile

Did you do something different (for example, use the Rename tab)? Or did you manually edit or rename profile files in the NAS folder?
