Help for existing user - old Mac mini 2012
I have a Mac mini that I was using with MinimServer as a server for my ripped music and now suddenly it just won't work. I made the mistake of downloading version 2.2 and updating the java only to realize that none of that is compatible with my old MacMini running macOS 10.13
im a novice at this stuff but it worked perfectly before. can anyone help with this please. regards Zee |

RE: Help for existing user - old Mac mini 2012
Hi Zee
I hate to say this, and not the answer you want, but perhaps it is time to get a new Mac machine. Not because of Minimserver, but a friend who is in IT protection tells me that keeping apps and OSs up to date is a vital step to prevent intrusion. I presume you do not have Time Machine working on your computer - if so you could simply roll the clock back and reinstall the old software. Anther reason perhaps to update the machine. RE: Help for existing user - old Mac mini 2012
Hi Donuk,
Nice to hear from a familiar name. Not in a placw right now to change that MacMini as i just paid for some amps but will do that wvwntually. I found a version of minimserver 2.1 from my other computer but for the love of god cant find a download like for Java21. Even on the Java downloads page i dont see a link for Java 21. Any suggestions for that? (Yesterday 18:38)Donuk Wrote: Hi Zee |

RE: Help for existing user - old Mac mini 2012
It should be possible to get this working with the latest MinimServer 2.2.r5 version. There are step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing JDK 21 on this page. If you are having trouble with one of these steps, please post back here with details of what isn't working.
