RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
Should I try going into Settings> Local Network Access and disactivating MinimWatch there?

RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
Try opening Activity Monitor from Applications/Utilities. Wait for the list of processes to appear, then scroll down the list until you find either MinimWatch or LaunchWatch (older versions of MinimWatch might show up as LaunchWatch).
Select MinimWatch or LaunchWatch and click the X button at the top of the window. In the pop-up asking you if you want to quit the process, select Quit. You should now be able to drag the MinimWatch app from the Applications folder to the Trash. If this doesn't work, I can suggest some terminal commands to kill MinimWatch. |

RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
Well, Simon, it worked, at the second time after I used Force quit.
I then downloaded version 2.r5.2 of Minimwatch ( I may not have remembered its denomination correctly, but I am sure I downloaded the right one and installed it in the Applications folder. But when I click on it it doesn't put the minim icon in the task bar. But Minimwatch is running, it tells me! Why is the Minimwatch icon not appearing? |

RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
You might have a setting in System Settings > Menu Bar that is preventing the MinimWatch icon from appearing in the menu bar. Scroll down to the bottom of the Menu Bar options to see your menu bar settings for applications.

RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
Simon,
I have been busy the last few days and have not followed up your last post. But this morning I have noticed that the MinimWatch icon has appeared in the taskbar all by itself! I don't know what I did apart from travelling with the Macbook and restarting a couple of times, but it seems anyway that the problem has resolved itself! Many thanks for your help, support and patience! Gonzalez aka John |

RE: Unable to open Minimwatch after installing latest version
Hi Gonzalez,
You might want to explore Activity Monitor when you have a dull moment. That is also a good way of closing programmes when you need to. Donuk |
