MinimServer - doesn't run, just shows text

Hello - the MinimServer desktop icon on my NUC running Win 11 simply opens Notepad and displays just test - please can you tell me what I'm missing here. Thanks

Maybe it’s better a screenshot … did you install Java as required in the installation guide?

Thanks for your replies, Java has resolved this issue - my next question is how to run Minim from start-up. Unfortunately, Minim doesn't appear under the list of start-up programs & my music computer is headless so Minim needs to run automatically.

You can do this by copying the MinimServer shortcut icon from the desktop to the Startup folder. On Windows 10, do the following:

1) Open Windows File Explorer
2) In the location bar, type this: shell:startup
3) The Startup folder should open
4) Right-click the desktop MinimServer icon and select Copy
5) Right-click the Startup folder window and select Paste
6) MinimServer should now start automatically when Windows is started

On Windows 11 the steps are the same except that in steps 4 and 5 you need to select "Show more options" after right-clicking and then select Copy or Paste.
