Minimwatch on Linux Mint laptop
I installed and started Minimwatch on my Linux Mint laptop according to your instructions on the website (or so I thought). I now have Minimwatch as a gray icon in my start menu.
Minimserver is running, although I see in the terminal Minimserver [dick-Thinkpad-T440s], the name of my laptop, though I run it normally from my NAS. There is also a Minimserver on the laptop, which perhaps I should remove. See the attached file for the setup process. |

RE: Minimwatch on Linux Mint laptop
This output shows that MinimWatch is able to see the local instance of MinimServer that you have installed on your laptop but cannot see your other instance of MinimServer running on your Synology NAS.
As I said in this post, this might be caused by a firewall on your laptop blocking inbound connections to MinimWatch. Have you checked the MinimWatch log for warning messages? You can find the minimwatch.log file in your ~/minimwatch/minimwatch/data folder. |

RE: Minimwatch on Linux Mint laptop

RE: Minimwatch on Linux Mint laptop
To uninstall MinimServer, use the command minimserver/bin/uninstall. You can find this and other useful information on this page.
The log you posted shows that two MinimServer instances named Klassieke Muziek and Popmuziek are running and have been found by MinimWatch. Are these instances running on your laptop or on your NAS? |

RE: Minimwatch on Linux Mint laptop
As you can see two instances of MinimServer, this means that MinimWatch is able to see MinimServer running on your NAS.
After you have deleted MinimServer from your laptop, start the desktop MinimWatch on your laptop. The icon colour should change to green. If the icon stays grey, please post the contents of the minimwatch.log file. |
