RE: License downgraded to starter edition?
The problem was caused by the MinimServer full license file on your NAS becoming corrupt. It isn't clear how this happened. Because of this problem, MinimServer automatically downgraded your NAS license type to starter.
Some time later, MinimServer did an automatic check on your license and discovered that the license type was set to starter on your NAS but was set to full in the online MinimServer license database. In this situation, the license type on your NAS is upgraded from starter to full, which replaced the corrupt license file with a new copy that isn't corrupt. I am pleased to hear that the automatic recovery mechanisms built into MinimServer were successful in fixing this problem. |

RE: License downgraded to starter edition?
MinimServer update 254 (now available) has some changes that save diagnostic information if this problem occurs.
If anyone sees this error when running MinimServer update 254, please post here. I will explain how to retrieve this diagnostic information and send it to me. |

Quick question, how do I force my server to update itself? It's currently running update 253. Thanks. Update: I just saw a message pop up about a new version being available, clicked install and now I'm running update 254. Thanks again!

RE: License downgraded to starter edition?
If you use MinimWatch, you can do a manual update from the Packages tab of the Properties dialog.
It can take up to an hour after an update is released before it is available for automatic installation. This is because of update caching to reduce traffic to the updates server. In the case of update 254, there was a small further delay to automatic updating because I didn't upload one of the required files at first. |
