New error message
Hi,
I have an error message on the minimserver interface on my Synology NAS saying "Resource not available: https://minimworld.com/updates/minimserver-2.2.jmupd" This message is new, possibly here since the last update. Minimserver still works but I can't install MinimStreamer (Unable to access the list of available packages). I don't know if my DNS settings are correct, I'm not sure I ever touched them. But I know for sure that I didn't change anything recently. I would really appreciate any help for fixing this. If it can help to find a solution: - Synology DS718+, DSM 6.2.4 - Minimserver 2.2 update 247 - I use minimiserver for several years but this error message is new |

RE: New error message
This message isn't caused by a MinimServer update. As this has worked previously, the problem is likely to be caused by some change in your network settings that is preventing MinimServer on your NAS from contacting the internet server that handles updates and package installation.
Can you post a screenshot showing your NAS DNS settings? There is an example in this post. |

RE: New error message
Thank for this. I see the gateway is set to LAN 2. Is your NAS connected to the nework by the LAN 2 or LAN 1 port? Also, is the 192.168.1.x subnet the correct setting for your LAN?

RE: New error message
It's connected by both LAN. How can I know that the setting is correct? Everything works fine on my network except for this message on minimserver.

The problem might be related to having multiple LAN connections. As a test, please try removing the LAN 2 connection, then power the NAS off and on. Does this fix the problem?

RE: New error message
Are you seeing this error when using MinimWatch or when you open the MinimServer configuration web page?
Do you use a VPN to access the internet? |

RE: New error message
The error is on the web page and I don’t use a VPN.

RE: New error message
Please do the following:
1) On the MinimServer configuration web page, set the .logLevel property to debug 2) From the Synology Package Center, stop and restart MinimServer 3) Download the minimserver.log file from the MinimServer/appData shared folder 4) In this log file, find the "Resource not available" message 5) Immediately preceding this message, there should be another message starting with "urlLoadProperties." What is this other message? |
