Yep. That's how I thought. Everything goes back to normal. Not working. It wasn't even whole one album listened. Ridiculous. So... It's still not a solution.

RE: Looking for non IT geek
It's not a solution but this information is helpful for identifying what is causing the problem.

The most likely cause is your router not being able to maintain the connection between MinimServer on the QNAP and your control point app for more than about 30 minutes. This is a known issue with some routers and it can sometimes be fixed by changing a configuration setting on the router. What router do you have?

Also, have you tried using any other media servers on your QNAP? If you have, it would be helpful to know whether the other server also times out after running for about 30 minutes.

RE: Looking for non IT geek
Hello again.
I don't have any other media servers and not planning to buy any. Only if the problems with qnap will force me to quit from that absolutely unbalanced fight. My router is Netis WF2780. Configuration menu is looking quite complexed and... Yep, it's a black magic for me. Wizardry is not my profession, so... ?

Is there anything in the router configuration menus about IGMP snooping? (not IGMP proxy etc.) If so, try setting IGMP snooping to disabled and restart the router.

RE: Looking for non IT geek
Not that I know what I am talking about really, but...
could the router have some strange DHCP setting so that it keeps juggling the addresses of all the stuff on the network. I had a similar problem with my last Virgin media router. So I excluded DHCP from the first 50 addresses, and reserved addresses for everything in my house to below 50. I am told this action may also reduce noise on the network (not forever sending signals confirming addresses).
But Browney3d, as I say, I may be speaking with forked tongue. It sounds to me as if you need to call on an expert to visit your home.
Don't give up. It is almost certainly no fault of Minimserver per se.

@Donuk: It is much more likely that the problem (playing for about 30 minutes and then stopping) is caused by an IGMP snooping issue.

In advanced settings you can disable IGMP (no snooping mentioned) https://www.mbreviews.com/netis-wf2780-w...er-review/

I did what you were suggesting. Turned off the IGMP setting on the router, but it (of course) changed nothing. Still Musiccast in the app on my cellphone shows "Lack of musical files". I also restarted the Qnap server after restart the router. No breakthrough.

RE: Looking for non IT geek
Thanks for trying this.

Was the IGMP setting that you disabled for IGMP snooping or some other IGMP setting?

After making this change, did you still see that MinimServer was accessible for about 30 minutes after restarting the router and the QNAP?

What is your network setup? For example, are the QNAP and the Yamaha player both directly attached to the router with Ethernet cables or connected in some other way?

RE: Looking for non IT geek
Yes, it was IGMP snooping setting.
After restart nothing is working. After that change I made it's not workin at all. Even for 5 minutes. Nothing.
Everything is connected to one switch, wich is connected to that router - by cables.
